You can also wear a second hand dress, it might be a rental, or maybe it was your mother’s, grandmother’s, sister’s or friend’s old dress, but you can re-design it with your own look to make it a unique piece of art that you can hand down to another member of your family.
Other non-traditional elements to add to your wedding can be to not wear shoes, or not have a veil on your head. Some women prefer to go barefoot, or even on comfortable tennis shoes. Instead of a veil that makes them feel old, try some flowers or family jewels for your hair.
Your bridesmaids are also a foundation for your non-traditional wedding, they are seen before you at the ceremony and they reflect the mood you want for your wedding. Remember they wish to be able to wear their dress for other occasions, so try to choose a nice color and fabric that can be wearable.
