Gift Ideas For The Bridal Party, Bride, And Groom
It is customary to celebrate the happy occasion of a wedding with gifts. Many gifts are involved. Gifts are given to many key players, such as the bride and groom, the attendants, and the mother and father of the engaged couple. With all that gift-giving going on, it can be hard to come up with ideas! Check out these great gift ideas for your wedding party and the other people in the wedding.
The bride is the star of any wedding, so it is only natural that people will want to treat her to fabulous gifts. Bridal jewelry is one of the most popular gift ideas. Watch for the look of pure joy on her face when she unwraps her set of bridal jewelry. The wedding jewelry should look well with the style of her bridal gown. Bridal jewelry is most often a gift from the groom or the bride's parents. Traditionally, the jewelry box is delivered on the wedding morning. Do drop a hint that she will be getting something to wear with her gown, or she might purchase other jewelry.
It is also traditional for the groom to receive a wedding present from his bride. The best gifts for grooms are handsome and classic. Having a gift personalized with your wedding date is always a nice touch...then he can't say he did not know it was your wedding anniversary! A silver pocketwatch, monogrammed cufflinks, or a luxurious leather-bound photo album are all great ideas for the groom. Men also like presents they can use, like barbeque tools.
As anyone who has been in a wedding can tell you, being a bridesmaid is hard work! Show that you value them with special bridesmaid presents that express your gratitude for their friendship. Pretty jewelry like crystal heart earrings make a lovely present for attendants. You can also give a smaller size of sparkly crystal heart earrings to your junior bridesmaid or flower girl to make her feel like one of the “big girls”. Fabulous accessories are always cherished gifts. Some of the best presents are the little luxuries your bridesmaids would not buy for themselves, like a crystal perfume bottle or a cashmere sweater. You cannot go wrong with a classic personalized silver compact.
The groomsmen usually have far less to do than the bridesmaids, but they still deserve a little something in honor of their role in the wedding. The groom should select the presents for his half of the wedding party...perhaps with some gentle guidance from the bride. A lot presents for groomsmen are nicer versions of useful things. This could be something like a silver pocketknife, a personalized crystal beer mug, or a customized leather business card case. Upgrade the best man's present to something a little more expensive.
Parents are such an important part of any wedding. It is lovely when the engaged couple thank them with some sort of gift. Perhaps you just treat them to a bottle of expensive Champagne. You could send them out for a night on the town. Sometimes the bride and groom will give special wedding jewelry to their mothers. Whatever you decide, be sure to enclose a heartfelt letter expressing your appreciation for the love and support your parents have shown you all through your life, and especially for your wedding. They will be touched by your kindness.

It's from my brothers wedding and I neeed to wear it on thursday to a ball, but It's about an inch too short on me.. (even when barefoot)
I wore it last year - I was 5ft 9 and it only just looked right, now that I'm 5ft 11 it shows my feet full on..
It can't be taken up in time as I have to have it on Thursday, and I'm only 16 and I don't have enough pocket money to do so!
is there anything I can do to make this dress look 'ok'!?
PLEASE HELP ME!
An inch or two really shouldn't matter - just make sure your shoes are nice and your toenails are polished!
