Did anyone wear their Mother's Wedding Gown?
I'm getting married in October, and I'd like to wear my Mother's wedding gown. I love the sentimentality of it, but it is a bit old fashioned for my taste. I want to modernize it, but I'm afraid that might take some of the sentiment out of it. Did anyone wear their mother's wedding gown as is, or did you take it to a seamstress to modernize? I'm from the North Georgia area, so any help would be appreciated as to where to go, because Atlanta is nearly an hour and a half for me to find someone. Can you tell me your stories of wearing your mother's gown? Thanks!
