Choosing Pearls To Match Your Wedding Gown
So, the big day is finally coming? No doubt you have so many different things to think about, and wedding jewelry is definitely one of them. Today many women are deciding to go with pearl necklace sets for their big day, and it is easy to see why, since pearls are so beautiful, lustrous, and elegant. Of course most women end up wearing white, ivory, or some similar shade, and you may be wondering how to pick out the pearl bridal jewelry that will go with the shade of white you plan on wearing to your wedding. Picking out the perfect pearl color for your wedding can be difficult, so here are a few tips will help ease your mind.
Light Ivory Gowns
One of the most popular colors when it comes to wedding gowns is known as light ivory, although you may have heard it called off white, candlelight white, winter white, or even diamond white. This color is without the yellow tones of the darker ivories and yet is not stark white but still a very beautiful color. If you are choosing to go with a wedding gown of this color, then you'll want to choose pearl jewelry that matches. A perfect match to this type of wedding gown is usually freshwater pearls. These pearls are just about white, but they look wonderful with a light ivory wedding gown as well. Even a traditional wedding gown goes along with this color of pearls.
Stark White Gowns
Some women also choose to go with stark white gowns, and if this is your wedding dress color, you'll want to make sure that your pearl jewelry matches perfectly. With this stark white color, usually you'll find that faux pearls in white are going to look the best with your dress. Even if you aren't a fan of faux pearls, because of the stark white color of the wedding dress, they are the most complimentary to this specific color. No on will have any idea that the pearls are faux if you get a nice string of faux pearls made into a pearl necklace.
Darker Ivory Gowns
Darker ivory gowns are also popular, as are crème or yellow ivory wedding gowns. Ivory faux pearls are perfect for your wedding dress if you are decide to go with one of those colors.. Usually these pearls come in shades that will be complimentary to your dress color. If you still cannot decide, try taking taking a small piece of fabric from the dress, so you can see a visual of how the two colors mesh.

What bridesmaid dress would compliment an ivory/champagne wedding gown? ?
My wedding dress is ivory lace over champagne lining that kinda looks like satin. What bridesmaid dresses would compliment my dress? What fabric should their dresses be and what colors compliment ivory? The wedding is early June next year and will be held outdoors. I like yellow as yellow roses are my favorite but I read somewhere that yellow will make ivory look dingy and dull.
I wouldn't do yellow...I'd do like...a bright ruddy orange maybe? My friend did her colors as ivory and orange ...like a bright happy orange...not neon orange. It was beautiful! But being that you have ivory/champagne, you could probably do a variety of colors. Try asking the place where you are getting your dress if they have fabric swatches that you can use to compare to your dress.
Best of luck to you and your future groom!

Can someone name that type of fabric style?
Recently I went shopping for a wedding gown and I found this beautiful and unique (a bit unusual) dress that was beige in color and had a bit of an odd design. I do not know what it is called but I know that it resembles the kind of stitching that is found on toddler's clothing collars (clothing that is white in color). I think it has a french name. It kind of looks like small holes and has stitching around it. It is usually found in white. Btw the dress I am referring to I tried on in Group USA that was on clearance but unfortunately I never reserved it and I fear that I can never find it again.
Help is GREATLY appreciated
Sounds like what is typically called "eyelet" fabric, but you might find as Broiderie Anglaise, Swiss Embroidery or Victorian Embroidery. Yardage typically goes by "eyelet"; Swiss and Victorian embroidery typically are terms used for trims, and Broiderie Anglaise to handwork (though the bridal shops seem to use it for eyelet). Eyelet organza is what I've often seen in bridal work:
