Buying Wedding Gown Samples
Can you let out a wedding dress?
I've heard that ANY wedding dress can be let out a little, is this true? I made the stupid mistake of buying a sample gown ( a steal by the way) , that was too small, and now it's 4 months to the wedding and I still can't zip it up. There is no budget for a new dress, so can a talented seamstess let out a dress without ruining it? i mean as a last result i can have the buttons changed to a corset right? Any ideas, and please don't be mean.

My gown needed to be made a bit larger, so the seamstress at the wedding shop inserted long vee-shaped pieces under each arm and down toward the waist - it was so invisibly done, it was amazing! I don't know how in the world she matched the fabric exactly, it was heavy bridal satin - but she did a flawless job. And zippedy-do-dah! I paid less than 100 to get this done.
Go talk with a seamstress or tailor who does wedding dresses.
